Automotive Photography by Phil Sills

Phil Sills

Phil Sills is known in the industry as a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to lighting. The past twenty years have seen him successfully fulfil high profile advertising briefs from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Phil’s professional life has been a whirlwind of activity, shooting for a whole range of interesting clients: the experience he gleaned from shooting drinks and other still life in his early career soon led him into the world of car imagery, then on through a wide variety of other subjects back towards more drinks and yet more still life, and most recently to film - you get the picture!
Every photographer has a few images he can’t let go of, so the ’Classic’ section on this site is a series of images that are perhaps somewhat archival, but classics all the same. Phil has been fortunate enough to work for the following clients (to name a few): Lexus, Gordon’s Gin, Siemens, Jaguar, Mercedes, Tennent’s, Persil, Volkswagen, Samsung, Guinness, Bowers & Wilkins, Sony Ericsson, British Airways, McCain, Peugeot, Britax, Coca Cola, Glenfiddich, Nicorette, Transport for London, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Grants Whisky, Bells Whisky, Maytag, Pimms, SanMiguel, KP snacks, Cineworld, Zubrowka, Hellmans, Perrier, Microsoft, Landrover, Renault, Standard Life, Ford, Tesco...

Automotive Photography by Trevor Pearson

Trevor Pearson

Trevor Pearson treats cars like women and products like gold. With a vibrant and clean aesthetic, he approaches life with the same passion and meticulousness as his photography. He revived the once messy maze of an unloved print shop into a comfortable and modern studio; first gutting it to four brick walls then rebuilding every inch. Each countertop, bookshelf, table and door was made by hand. Trevor’s love of thoughtful design is echoed in his work; It’s in the composition and perspective, it’s in the colors, and in the immaculate lighting.
