Véronique Branquinho for Marie Jo L'Aventure
Belgian lingerie brand Marie Jo L'Aventure teamed up with fashion designer Véronique Branquinho to create the Fall 2011 capsule lingerie collection shown here. The collection has a little bit of a retro vibe but is also quite modern and chic! The capsule group features pieces made from satin and tulle, and available in black and emerald green. Let's face it, the emerald green is to die for!
Branquinho was inspired by classic paintings by the old masters Cranach, Giorgione, Raphael & Dürer, and she re-worked some of their famous creations to include her designs!

Fifi Chachnil (Fall 2011) - The 7 Fundamental Virtues
We are happy to share that all of our Fall 2011 New Arrivals from Fifi Chachnil are now available on our website! Fifi Chachnil is one of the first brands we carried at Faire Frou Frou, and nearly 7 years later the brand is still going strong in our boutique probably because it so perfectly captures our frou-frou essence! The first image shows a little French lesson we put together, sharing the essential lingerie terms every fashionista should know. It also displays styles that we have at our shop, which cover the fundamentals of every lingerie wardrobe: lace, silk and ruffles!
You can see some of our favorite pieces from the Fall collection, some of which are not shown in this post, on our website by clicking here. Also, you will find one of our favorite pieces, which is the panty below (Le Desir Ruffle Brief), on our website. We found this photo by Pierre Dal Corso online last year and were so happy to learn that those darling black panties were by Fifi! We were even happier to learn that Fifi Chachnil included that style panty in her Fall collection...and of course we now have it at our boutique!
Hello, Pretty French Girl
This post is pretty much our (good) stereotype of the French woman; she wears pretty little intimates with her tousled bed hair, smoky eyes and this one even has the most adorable nautical/school-girl sweater. The first picture, with the corset skirt (we think that's what it is) is really what inspired this post. The rest just fell into place and needed to be shared!
Les Jupons De Tess
We are very excited to share news that Faire Frou Frou now carries the French lingerie label Les Jupons de Tess. This label, though relatively unknown in the U.S. market, has been around for a few years. We first discovered the brand during our travels to NYC back in early 2009 where we met the designer Caroline and fell in love with a chemise that she designed that reminded us of the look & quality of a Carine Gilson piece. We took a picture of that chemise and have been saving it on our iPhone ever since (will post to Twitter later today)! We finally took a cue from ourselves this past December and decided to carry this lovely brand in our shop.
The first collection to come into our shop is fittingly called Paris from the Winter 2011 season. It features gorgeous Leavers lace combined with satin accents. You can shop the collection here.
Princesse Tam-Tam
We were just speaking with a customer about how wonderful the French lingerie brand Princesse Tam-Tam is...and how much we miss it here at Faire Frou Frou. It's been a few seasons since the label disappeared from the U.S. which is such a loss for those of us who love pretty, everyday intimates at a wonderful price. So now we simply watch the brand from afar on their website and think of what we would buy if we could (for our store, that is).
The images for their Spring 2010 campaign are just so cute and fun. They almost indicate how happy and carefree you should be when wearing such a darling lingerie set. Granted, there are plenty of amazing brands to choose from in the lingerie world, but we can't help but miss this one.
New Arrivals - Fifi Chachnil (Part 1)
We actually have plenty more Fifi Chachnil items to post, but this is the complete group from Sortir en Culotte. Don't you just want every piece?! We're in love.
We will post on the remaining new Fifi items next week (expect to see pink, white & lilac).

Huit Lingerie
all images courtesy of HuitChantal Thomass - Flowers & Lingerie

How can you not love the images for the new Spring/Summer 2009 collection by Chantal Thomass? Thomass is a French lingerie designer, known for her ooh-la-la lingerie and her destination boutique on rue Saint-Honore in Paris.
We just love the floral concept worked into these photographs! Then again, Chantal Thomass never ceases to amaze us with her beautiful photo shoots for each collection. It's always a pleasure to see a designer who works with a talented photographer - it really makes a difference in their branding!
On a separate note, Chantal Thomass just released a book titled "Histoire de la Lingerie". It appears to have sketches & advertisements from lingerie over the years. We would love to get a copy! You can order yours here (though we're not sure if they deliver to the U.S.).
