completely enchanted with these black and white photographs by elisabeth toll -- not only for the fond memories of sacré-cœur and rooftop views, but also for the languid and gauzy nostalgia pervading every parisian moment . . .

{one late october afternoon}
. . . and after all the shades of mustard, wheat, and honey from recent photographs of our weekends away, was reminded again how warm yellow can be this time of year, especially when intermingled with deep wood tones and gold . . .

Andres Sarda - Fall 2009 Lingerie
Just when we thought we've seen our favorite Fall 2009 lingerie campaigns, we discovered these images by Andres Sarda. Andres Sarda is a Spanish luxury lingerie brand that typically puts on a gorgeous annual runway show. This year they put together a short film (click here to view) that features their Fall collection and it's quite provocative and beautiful. Granted, not much of a plot, but it wonderfully showcases their designs on a sexy model. The images in this post appear to be stills from the film. We love how these photos perfectly capture the spirit and glamour of the brand.
We still have a few older season items from Andres Sarda in the SALE section of our website.
3.1 Phillip Lim Lingerie
This feels like one of the more subdued posts we've done in a while, and perhaps that's the intent of the classic, clean designs by 3.1 Phillip Lim. This year marks the debut of Lim's lingerie collection, which can now be found exclusively at his namesake stores. In true 3.1 style, each piece is understated, elegant and great for layering. The prices for the lingerie collection range in price between $55-$150...which is better than we expected.
Will you be wearing Phillip Lim's new underpinnings?
{scrapbook: a weekend in the country}
{a few photographs of our weekends away}
. . . while evenings in the city may be spent in heels and cocktail dresses, weekends away in the country are laid-back in a quilted Barbour and a pair of wellies, and after the apple orchards and pumpkin patches, the golden fields of wheat and rustling yellow leaves, a perfect afternoon for an autumn picnic for two . . .{p.s.} and to p, thank you for making every moment feel like a dream, and for taking the most beautiful photographs

Lace Leggings
This editorial is from the German magazine Tush, featuring Australian model Skye Stracke, and the first picture with the lace leggings was begging to be posted on our blog!
We also wanted to include some of the other photos because of the panties in lieu of pants, and those cool Wolford stirrup stockings in the last image. The credits are in German (which we can't read), but it appears that the lace leggings in the first image are by Gianfranco Ferre. We would love to own those!
{inspiration: birds of a feather}
Feathers, feathers everywhere -- ostrich on evening gowns, in vases on fireplace mantels and in pretty up-swept hair -- but best of all, atop four-poster beds all draped in French fabrics, as if awaking on a magical, misty morning in le château de Versailles . . .
{p.s.} more feathers
