We found these pictures of Dita von Teese wearing the same Fifi Chachnil pieces that we have in stock at Faire Frou Frou. If you're interested in re-creating Dita's look, just click here (plus, the items are on SALE!!).

'And God Created Woman' is a luxury label of nightwear and bedroom accessories from the U.K., and we're proud to now carry the brand at Faire Frou Frou. Actually, we're the first store to bring the brand to the U.S.!!
This gorgeous label specializes in chic and flattering kimono robes. For those of you who like to lounge in sophistication, this label is for you...for instance, the Crepe Robe with the Satin Obi is finished with french seams, made with matte crepe on the outside and smooth satin on the inside, and has a great silk satin obi that wraps twice around the waist for a dramatic effect!
These one-size fits all robes are cinched at the waist to accentuate the feminine form. What we especially love about the kimono is that the arms are cut short enough so that you don't have your sleeve knocking things over or in the way (some long kimono sleeves are dangerous around candle flames!).
We are planning on bringing more of the collection into our boutique as the Fall draws closer, so if you are interested in any products you see right now that aren't in our online boutique, just let us know! We would love to hear your feedback!
Off to NYC for a few days to trade work for play, and short conversations on our mobiles to long conversations over dinner . . .
We have been looking for new bedding lately (for a boudoir makeover at home), and of course started the search at Frette. Frette is a company that has specialized in luxury linens since 1860. If you want the creme de la creme in bedding, this is where you begin!
Last year when visiting their website we noticed that they sell a small selection of their own lingerie label...and rightly so! The pricing is a bit steep (but who are we to judge!), but it's certainly justifiable with the quality and craftsmanship. We are loving their gorgeous cashmere cardigan...but we need to focus our attention and our budget on bedding for now!

I remember the first time I fell in love with the work of Henry Clarke (1918-1996) -- it was as if I were falling, falling into a world of impossible elegance and incredible sophistication . . .
Included are a few photographs not published in the original post. Although Clarke's work reached its height in the 1950's and 60's, it will always remain timeless.{1953 - suzy parker for mauboussin}

. . . fresh blades of dewy grass, whispers of rustling leaves . . . it's summertime, and I'm happily wearing my strappy sandals . . .
