We were beyond excited when we heard from our friend Susan Beischel of Skin Lingerie that she would be featured on the Martha Stewart Show! How absolutely perfect that this organic cotton brand be featured on Martha's show, especially given its practical, eco-friendly foundation.
We have carried Skin Lingerie at Faire Frou Frou for as long as we have been in business, and it's well-known by our customers as an essential loungewear line. Martha Stewart refers to it as "comfy cotton couture"...we agree!
Most of Skin's pieces are made from pima cotton in varying weights (from terry cloth to featherweight) and even some Fall/Winter specialty pieces in cashmere. A selection of items are made in organic cotton and dyed using vegetable dye. Any 'fur' you may see is alpaca hair, which Susan makes certain is obtained cruelty-free.

When we think of our mom, the following words come to mind: generous, thoughtful, listener, best friend, shopping buddy, creative, passionate, silly, innovative, and traditional. Mom is the thread that keeps the family together; she is more than words can describe! We hope you have a great time celebrating the special lady in your life!

Mother's Day Dedication

As most of you know, Faire Frou Frou is owned by my mom and I, and together we maintain our boutique, online store and blog. However today's post is my opportunity to write a small dedication to my mom, given that Mother's Day is just around the corner.

Mother's Day is a great opportunity to say 'thank you', and I would like to do just that. This is a thank you to my mom for encouraging me to follow my dreams, for always lending an ear even when she's tired or busy, and for consistently providing support and the right words when I needed it. For those of you who know her, you will agree that she is generous (to a fault!), loyal, creative and young-at-heart. You also know that my mom is my #1 supporter (and yes, she likes to brag about her only daughter!).
