Dennis Welsh has been taking photos for a while now. Born in Philadelphia, he got a Kodak Instamatic at the age of ten and has been shooting ever since. Since moving to Maine in 1987, Welsh has incorporated the sensibilities of New England into his work, providing a clean, honest style to his photography. Whether shooting an environmental portrait, a skier making first tracks or kids playing in the backyard-Welsh’s work consistently conveys a moment that is truly genuine.
Welsh travels the world for clients such as: Nike, Saucony, Men’s Journal, Kimberly Clark, Ski Magazine, Perrier and AOL. Additionally, his work was recognized in PDN’s 2007 Best of Photography Annual and again as first place in the 2009 APA National Awards. Currently, Dennis lives in Yarmouth, Maine with his wife Anne, and their three children, Grady, Audrey and Cornelius.
