Porter Yates specializes in travel photography. His work reflects his experiences abroad, and captures the scale of diversity that exists in the world. His images play with the subtle nuance of how culture acts upon the environment, and in turn, how the environment influences culture. He exposes the raw quality of life lived by locals in rural villages, large cities, and remote locations. His photography includes landscapes, wildlife, portraits and street scapes. Since his passion for travel is intertwined with his love for photography, he is always looking for new and exciting places to visit. Currently, Porter lives in Boulder, Colorado and is studying towards a master’s degree in civil engineering. His focus is in developing community infrastructure which he hopes will lead to future opportunities to experience the world.
