. . . astonishingly, very nearly at the month of march, two months of the new year passed already, and already, windows have been open to the late-winter air that is now, nearly imperceptibly, tinged with the promise of blossoming magnolia trees and longer, sun-drenched days ahead, and so, for today, it's away with wintry things, soft flushed cheeks, and a dash of perfect pink across the lips . . .

{monday, monday & a bright new week}
. . . hello! lovely to see you again, and how was your weekend? ours was filled with a [quite insane] busy-ness, much different from the recent luxuriously low-key weekends of late, late mornings and sunday brunches; this one was filled with unfinished projects, paint and brushes and drywall dust thrown into the mix for most of the time, with a few moments, happily, on sunday evening, for the oscars [didn't gwyneth look amazing?]; and now, extravagantly happy for a new week, just to have things back to a regular pace again, although there is now a mountain of things left to catch up on, and so, very late weekend links to follow, but for now, a flurry of tangerine tango & a quick hello . . .
happy monday! hope your week is off to a perfect start, —roséline xo
{p.s.} have fallen quite behind on emails and responses may take a little longer than usual x

{a late hello & notes from the weekend}
. . . hello! after a busy & lovely weekend, a [very] late start here, and how are things? the new week is already filled with a million things, including still more sorting & organising [beribboned boxes of old photographs, long-lost love letters and beautifully written correspondence cards], and plotting & plan-making, meetings and appointments and telephone calls, but also, moments of leisure in all of the busy-ness, for catching up with an old friend, and lattes and mid-day lunch dates . . .
hope you had a beautiful weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start, —roséline xo
{p.s.} also : a flurry of new posts from just before the weekend, which you [very likely] may have missed:

{hello & thursday musings}
. . . perfectly exhausted from the week's rather ambitious schedule, and so, another cup of coffee and a little time to catch up -- emails [& emails!] and letters and plans -- but shall return with much to share before the week is through . . .
à bientôt / see you soon, & hope you are having a lovely week so far,

{how to: rose satin & gold glitter manicure}
. . . on thursday night, took a little time to play around with the wonderful collection of nail varnishes scattered about, on powder room shelves and mirrored vanities, for a change, rather than stopping by the salon, and came up with the absolute prettiest combination -- palest pink & flecks of gold, perfect for this weekend's dinners and gallivants around & about . . .
{p.s.} how to : essie first base base coat // 2-3 coats of chanel le vernis nail colour in 463 rose satin [any pale pink or blush should work] // several coats of sephora by o.p.i. gold glitter top coat x

{how to: matte moon manicure}
. . . despite recently picking up summery shades of crisp white & palest sunset pink, and exclusively wearing gold on fingers & toes for the past few weeks, have been falling for the CND ruffian matte moon manicure for its decidedly nautical pairing of gold & navy, created by painting pre-made gold tips with a coat of navy polish and a mattifier, perfect for summer afternoons and oceanside dreams . . .
{p.s.} a similar look can also be achieved without chrome tips, using a gold base {try gold chrome #548}, then coats of navy {try inkwell #539}, finished with super matte top coat
