GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAFY

. . . a softer, subtler, more romantic version of the classic combination of red and turquoise -- golden coral and morning sky -- and whether a bouquet of peonies at an afternoon dinner party or a delicate silk blouse against luxurious bed linens -- the intermingling of the two feels like a rush of spring air, billowing past curtains and fluttery skirts and bright petals in carved vases, ushering in long-awaited days of summer . . .

Happened upon these lovely Fall table settings while happily browsing last week and fell for all the wonderful layers, attention to detail, and the feeling of having just returned from a walk in the highlands or an afternoon of horseback riding . . .

These dishes, designed by Euridice Conceicao, with their simple, graphical twigs and branches winding their way across white porcelain, completely appeals to my Spring frame of mind.

Christofle has combined my two favourite things, eating and diamonds (yes, in that order), in the shape of sterling silver and diamond encrusted flatware. The front and back of each knife, fork, and spoon is hand set in France with diamonds, a process that takes 6 months to complete.
