This editorial depicts what men probably fantasize about how women look when they get together to dress and put on their lingerie. In some respects it's pretty accurate, but the photos also have a dreamy fantasy quality that even we ladies aspire to create in real life!
We personally love these images because they capture intimate moments shared by women. Some of the best bonding times are times like these, almost like photos of a bride getting ready with her maidens before the wedding.
As for the lingerie we're seeing, the stockings are Wolford and Fogal, and the bras/undies are La Perla, Valisere, Madame Sher, and Dior.

{colour inspiration: tea rose & roman coffee}

. . . quite adore the idea of soft and subtle shades of pink as a neutral -- in yards and yards of dramatic silk, side-by-side in velvet or the leather of a perfect pair of flats -- paired with crisp white, luxe gold or the warm tones of roman coffee, shades of tea rose couldn't be more perfect for spring . . .

{spring things: more tea rose + roman coffee}

. . . very much looking forward to bare legs and crisp white shirts, sexy side-swept hair and loose braids, and once again and most of all, that enchantingly romantic shade of tea rose . . .

House of Holland - Runway

house of hollandhouse of holland runway

house of holland spring 2010house of hollandimages via here

We're not sure if these pieces by House of Holland are lingerie-inspired or just lingerie. But we suppose if you pair anything with a great pair of shoes and perhaps a clutch it becomes ready-to-wear! The vibrant-colored lace from the Spring 2010 collection caught our eye - our favorite colors being the purple, orange and green. The rest of the runway pieces can be seen here, though the images that we posted are pretty much the best of the bunch.
Now that we think of it, these pieces remind us of Deborah Marquit lingerie...the lace, the neon bright colors. Deborah Marquit is the go-to brand for upscale neon lingerie, with pieces handmade in her NYC studio. You can see one of her signature sets below (paired with a Victor & Rolf top). This post has us wanting one of her fluorescent pink sets...that would be amazing with a fluorescent pink pair of Christian Louboutins we've been wanting!

{the clouds are filled with kisses}

. . . even dark clouds can be lovely, especially if they are filled with kisses, drifting along paris skies . . . and what could be more spring-like than a crown of blossoms or getting lost in daydreams?

{p.s.} more crowns of blossoms: here & here & here & here

{fragments of sun + perfect bits of colour}

. . . now more than ever, in the last days of january, longing for bright, sun-drenched rooms with perfect bits of colour . . .

Etam Spring 2010
Etam lingerie
natalia vodianova for etamimages via here and here

The beautiful Natalia Vodianova is the ambassador for the French lingerie company Etam. This being the second year of her three-year term (yes, it sounds so official like she's the head of a government), she is quite stunning in the latest campaign for the Spring 2010 collection. She also happens to be a part of the brand's design process...a sexy girl creating sexy lingerie!
These pieces are exclusively available on Etam's website, and the prices range between $20-$80. Typically items at that price point look amazing in the professional photo shoot, but not quite as amazing in person (sorry, but it's true...we're sticklers for those beautiful, and often times expensive details). That being said, we are happy to share the lovely results of the 2010 Spring/Summer catalogue. These designs and pictures remind of us Princesse Tam-Tam; a French lingerie brand that we used to carry and dearly miss. Do any of you see that as well?

{inspiration: romantic winter florals}

. . . while there are many ways to handle overcast late-winter afternoons, there is nothing quite like romantic winter florals and cozy & soft smokey lavender scarves to instantly brighten things up . . .

{photography by kim myers robertson for lucky magazine february 2010 via moodboard & a glamorous little side project}

{how to: driftwood table lamp}

d
. . . wonderfully inspired by what can become of a few pieces of driftwood, bits of string & a little imagination: australian stylist tim neve created this beautiful driftwood table lamp from a standard wood lamp base {below}, sanding down the lacquer to an unvarnished surface, affixed pieces of driftwood and tied everything with string . . .

These beautiful images are from the new Crush collection by Fleur of England (formerly known as Fleur T). They are also the latest of the New Arrivals at Faire Frou Frou!
These are the perfect pieces for Valentine's Day...the red is a gorgeous deep ruby red that's wonderfully classic (in contrast, you know how some reds can look so cheap?). The lace trim is a deep fuchsia. Each style is a best-selling shape by Fleur of England, particularly the lace balcony bra (which small-busted to large-busted customers love). Our favorite is the silk kimono...every season its our favorite style.
We suppose you know who our Valentine's Day Crush is...you're looking at it!
You can shop this collection (and read about the details) here.
