. . . as am currently writing to you from a rooftop terrace drenched in golden light, it is, admittedly, in the summertime, a little more difficult to get things done, especially while traipsing around in elegant silk blouses and linen blazers, breezy dresses and perfect pencil skirts . . . there is more time for terraces and stops for gelato, sparkling drinks in strappy sandals, and most of all, taking in the soft and hazy moments of summer in the city . . .

. . . a million and one wonderful things still left to do this week, business trips and summer weekends away, projects & plans and letters & emails . . . and so, a few moments to collect thoughts and get lost for a short while in late-spring things -- glossy pages to flip through, a box of chocolate truffles tied with ribbon, the sound of crashing waves and the beautiful silence of warm summer whites . . .

{p.s.} exciting news a little later

. . . admittedly, it has seen more play than work, for in barely three weeks' time, already, over six hundred novels, two rather tense, late-night games of scrabble, many favourite apps {especially flipboard}, a few masterpieces {created with a stylus and drawing apps}, and issues of martha stewart living . . . all that's left is to get back to work, but first, the perfect carrying case . . .

{sheaths of silver & gray}

It's been a while since I found a design that I was as crazy about as the {3.1 Phillip Lim Citron silk pleated Grecian dress with boned bodice}, but this {Donna Karan Bi-color halter dress}, made from sheaths of chalky white and silver gray satin, comes close . . .
