. . . and having been forever in love with love, and forever ever in love, it's no wonder that valentine's day is very nearly a national holiday around here, and perhaps the very best thing about it falling on a tuesday, is the chance to celebrate again, for there are dinner reservations also for the weekend, and for tonight, there will be champagne and other perfectly wonderful things, and however you celebrate, or not at all, wishing you so much love—the kind that overflows on everything and fills the air . . .

. . . there is a surf spray for your hair that promises "that salty, sexy, sun-dried, wind-styled feel" that comes from being in the ocean -- and while it does leave one's hair tousled and sexily wind-blown as promised, nothing can compare to the feeling of toes in the sand and saltwater kisses and that perfect feeling of all the time in the world . . .

. . . must confess, these days, would most likely find me anywhere {most likely in the office} other than the kitchen, unless it is to pour the champagne, or to linger about the hors d'œuvre, and of course, when there are cream-filled cakes and heart-shaped shortbread cookies sprinkled with confectioners' sugar . . .

. . . a million and one wonderful things still left to do this week, business trips and summer weekends away, projects & plans and letters & emails . . . and so, a few moments to collect thoughts and get lost for a short while in late-spring things -- glossy pages to flip through, a box of chocolate truffles tied with ribbon, the sound of crashing waves and the beautiful silence of warm summer whites . . .

. . . and with the royal wedding merely days away, there is talk of duchesse satin gowns and horse-drawn carriages and happily ever after, and if you're hosting a tea party to mark the momentous occasion, be certain to serve vanilla bean buttercream cake, scones and profiteroles, and vanilla & coconut macarons, of course . . .

We are 100% in Valentine's Day mode at Faire Frou Frou; our favorite holiday of the year!  The store is decorated and the Valentine's goodies are arriving at our shop daily.  Some new tokens of affection that are Faire Frou Frou Valentine's favorites are the handmade pieces from Love, Lulu Mae, the darling cards from Rifle Paper Co. and our latest sparkling brand to hit the store, Bando. 
Of course there's plenty of lingerie that has recently arrived and expected to arrive, but today's post is all about the store itself.
