GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAFY

. . . and if you find yourself having far too lovely a time on weekends, leaving the beginning of the work week with little time to spare: a silk bow blouse in pretty polka dots & a low ponytail for easy elegance, and it's coffee and out the door in perfect style . . .

. . . a quick hello and a little note to say that the favourite five series will be on hiatus until september 12, 2011, as laily is away on holiday before summer's end . . . and when she returns, brand new and exciting interviews lined up that we can not wait to share with you, but until then, a few past favourites you may have missed . . .

. . . frilly cakes and raspberry icecream, rainbow cakes with swiss meringue frosting, chocolate cakes with fudge icing, and walnut, caramel and chocolate ganache tartelettes . . . the fanciful creations of call me cupcake are like warm summer afternoons beneath the willows and sparkling breezes along the water's edge . . .

. . . nearly always more drawn to crown molding and paneled and gilded walls, pools of silk and tufted velvet, floral wallpaper and warm herringbone floors than stark modernity, that is, unless the rooms have been touched by the work of swedish stylish lotta agaton, whose trailing vines in metallic pots and elegant bouquets of white roses add a luxe charm and an unmistakable air of warmth and romance . . .

. . . friday afternoons always seem to be the time when things begin to slow down a little for the weekend, and so it follows that it is also the time for floods of inspiration and happy discoveries, such as swedish photographer per gunnarsson's beautiful portfolio, filled with light and airy scandinavian style, and an impressive client list that includes hus & hem, sköna hem, ikea, elle interiör, and livingetc . . . of course, most drawn to the slate greys and smokey violets, in glass, velvet and lucite . . .

. . . adore acne's new agate raw-edge leather sandals with rock-and-refined metal stiletto heels and platform soles -- amazingly fun with or without detachable sonia rykiel-esque pom-poms and wonderfully perfect for summer, now to decide on the white, black or brown . . .

. . . a million projects, appointments and e-mails and the week has been flying by at an astonishing rate -- very much looking forward to slowing things down over the weekend and even more so, for summer weekends filled with seaside dreams . . .
