Aaron first picked up a camera at the age of 12, his father taught photography near his home at the University of Minnesota, Aaron spent countless hours roaming the halls and darkrooms absorbing it all in, and then being drawn to commercial photographer in his early twenties. He now shoots all over the world...
Be it on top of a Chilean mountain, snowboarding down an avalanch zone with gear on his back, mountain biking single track in Moab, surfing in Maui, cruising the streets of Brooklyn on his bike, or just taking his sons to soccer, or an art gallery opening... Aaron draws energy from the life and culture around him, then he brings it it back out with his lens for the world to see... He loves showing the "truth and energy"of the subject, and brings his knowledge of culture to every assignment. He is kind of a"cultural anthropologist"as he is like to say.
