GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAFY

. . . as you know, recently, there was a spectacularly lovely give-away here at {this is glamorous}, for a gold amphora necklace [above]—white gold or yellow gold, scalloped or heart-shape . . . and there were heartrending tales of love and loss, of those fondly remembered, and never to be forgotten, and there were notes from all over the world, as far away as australia and singapore . . .





. . . and so, today, so very excited to announce that a winner has been selected . . .

. . . while not quite ready to let go of the last of the summer whites just yet, somehow, in august's last fleeting moments, always and inescapably drawn to vibrant and tumultuous shades of orange . . .

. . . yesterday was one of those beautiful august days spent traipsing about town for meetings & appointments, visiting many, many design shops for research for an exciting new project, a café date and late lunch date, and best of all, a stop at the art gallery on the way home -- gilded frames and arches of colour, eighteenth century chandeliers and heels on herringbone floors . . .

. . . often prefer totes and structured handbags with shoulder straps to keep hands free for checking emails and picking up bright spring bouquets, but now that it is officially spring, can not help but be drawn to this undeniably elegant and impossibly chic leather portfolio clutch, with lovely details like an envelope flap and gold clasp, and especially in this stunning shade of orange . . .

. . . amazingly, mid-january, and the close of a most exciting week, and after a late dinner date in a dress strewn with magnolias and the promises of spring, nearly imperceptibly and yet most certainly, the days are silently becoming longer, and there is still the rest of this blissful weekend left to linger . . .

. . . once the glitter of the holidays and the sparkle of new year's has faded {just a little}, sometimes january's overcast skies can be a little gloomy, calling for extra bouquets of coral-coloured blooms scattered about, or better yet, flirty & foral sweaters strewn with roses . . .

. . . this past week has been one of changes -- a new cut and colour at the salon, a new resolve to get things back on track at the gym, and here, wonderful new ideas and plans . . . but for now, it's the weekend, and already, 8:15 dinner reservations friday evening, devastatingly handsome company and a glass of red by candlelight, and early saturday morning, a little shopping, coffee and lanvin, and late saturday afternoon, a glittering and golden sunset and a cozy drive out of the city in the last fading light . . .
