Hopelessly Creative
One of our Frou Frou Fashionista readers was so inspired by a photograph she found on our site, she created an amazing piece of artwork! The adorable painting is from one of the Sisters in Black Frocks (who also happens to be a customer of ours!), and the inspirational panty is by Australian lingerie label Hopeless. We love seeing what our creative readers have done upon reading our blog. In the past, fellow blogger Fifi Flowers has shared her inspirational paintings based on our posted photos (click here to see).

This UK-based burlesque lingerie label is certainly intimate apparel that requires a performance...whether on stage or for an audience of one! We love the exaggerated bows and accessories - who wouldn't?!

{guest post: decor8 + favourite things}
Hope you had a lovely weekend! Have been working on a collection of photographs for a guest post on decor8 for the past little while, and on the way to the beach last Friday afternoon a message arrived that it was up -- had such fun pulling everything together -- all the photographs, with the exception of the Phillip Lim, {which was taken by me}, were taken by the charming BF {happy, happy birthday!}. . . stop by if you like for a few of my favourite things . . .

When there's a moment to spend sorting through the abyss that is the closet, often find myself wandering away to do other things -- sometimes difficult to pare down and part with things, infinitely easier to sort through the hundreds of photographs in inspiration folders -- and happened upon these lovely shots of black + white -- the best of both worlds: bright airiness contrasted with bold elegance . . .

Carine Gilson lingerie
Chantelle bras, Fifi Chachnil bloomers
Lascivious panties, Chantelle bra
Chantelle bra, Prada wool briefs
Miu Miu wool bras, Falke hosiery
We spotted a couple of wool lingerie pieces, one from Prada and the other from Miu Miu. We are curious how popular wool lingerie will be this Fall. It probably will not be on the top of everyone's must-have list! As for cashmere intimates...we're all for it!

{sesame magazine + an interview}
Lately have been adoring all things Australian, including Sesame, an online fashion magazine from Melbourne that focuses on emerging talents in fashion, illustration, art and music . . .
“I think I’ve always been a bit of a magazine addict,” says Nadia Barbaro, [Sesame's founder]. “I have a ridiculous collection piling up around the house.” Sesame was born three years ago as a print magazine, but Barbaro was soon swayed by the Web. The heart of the site is, of course, Australian fashion, and twice a year, Barbaro plucks the best local designers, artists, and musicians to feature in gorgeous fashion spreads. “It’s pretty girly,” says Barbaro, “Doesn’t every girl want her own magazine?” -- excerpt: Jamie Cooke for Nylon magazine
Issue Seven has just been release and it's all interactivity and animation intermingled with dreamy stills, wood nymphs and rainbows . . . also fun was the chance to answer a few questions with Nadia, who is also a stylist and Sesame's talented creative director:
. . . and to be included in the magazine's Blogs We ♥ category along Lucy from The Design Files and the always fun and fashionable Susanna from Style Bubble; thanks so much to Nadia for being so cool despite my answers arriving nearly too late . . .
