. . . not often one for prints and patterns, but there is something about derek lam's current collection, with its leather skirts and golden oxfords, cotton twill blazers and herringbone coats, silks and knits and sumptuously billowy dresses, that one is hopelessly drawn . . .

{shoes, shoes, shoes : satin & crystal}
. . . always fun to see collaborations, whether or chloë sevigny x opening ceremony or lanvin x h&m, and one that is especially fun is the recent six london & farfetch collaboration with six design bloggers, one of whom was alix from the cherry blossom girl, whose midnight blue satin sky-high mary janes, complete with dainty straps and crystal clasps, perfectly wrapped in elegant bows were a definite favourite . . .

{weekend links, on tuesday}
. . . and if there was ever any doubt that summer is the best time ever, this weekend would certainly change all views to the contrary -- there was saturday brunch on a leafy terrace {toad in the hole with mozzarella and prosciutto, and an elderflower mimosa}, sunday brunch on a balcony terrace {eggs benedict with lemon hollandaise sauce on a freshly baked croissant, and a bellini}, a film {the trip -- have you seen?}, a blanket & books in the park and vanilla coconut cupcakes, and most of all, many, many moments drenched in sunlight . . .
hope you had an impossibly beautiful weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start, roséline xo

{monday, monday . . .}
hello again! . . . monday, monday, and must confess, still a little in a haze of happiness from the weekend, which may have actually begun last thursday, after taking a little time away from work {was such a stunning near-summer's day} for a very late lunch that lingered so, for an art gallery and {the most charming} vintage shop, and of course, for gelato {three scoops}; and this weekend was an astonishingly lovely whirl of sunshine and blossoms, brunches and antique shops and much needed time away from all things online, the french open and afternoon strolls in the gardens . . . and now, with weekend carryalls still packed from the countryside, a brand new week and back to work . . .
happy monday! hope that you had a beautiful weekend & that your week is off to a perfect start, roséline xo

{style inspiration: perfect platforms}
. . . a new pair of white strappy summer wedges earlier last week, for traipsing about town and blossom-laden walks with the dog, the third pair of wedges already this spring, and summer has yet to begin, and yet, after happening across these utterly charming prada platforms {above}, perfectly paired with pressed trousers turned in an ultra-chic french cuff in the most enchanting shade of august sunrise, am becoming quite smitten with platforms and their teetering heights and already imagine them with romantically flirty & lacy summer dresses for quiet lunch dates on cobbled terraces surrounded by spring flower boxes of pussy willows and daffodils . . .

{lookbook: mango spring 2011 nude collection}
. . . falling, falling for the impossibly chic train cases and elegant mary janes of mango's new spring collection -- the sheer & pretty pleats and daytime sequins, and most of all, the entirely irresistible shades of cognac, dusky apricot, whispery nudes and shimmery champagne . . .

{shoes, shoes, shoes}
. . . the last pair of shoes featured created quite a stir, and while they may not be origami-inspired louboutins, these equestrian-inspired lanvin beige double platform mary janes with white toe-caps and ankle straps are pure summer sexiness . . .
