GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAFY

. . . nearly november, and there has been overcast skies, blustery, leaf-strewn winds, and bouts of rain, and so, to brighten these last october days, golden artwork and gilded accents, warm white cable knits and sun-soaked high-waisted trousers, and it's off to the flower markets for as many bouquets as one can possibly carry . . .

. . . the sonia rykiel fall collection's perfect mix of tweed and satin, wraps and stoles, checks and tartan, along with elegantly lovely side chignons and red lipstick makes one long for the blustery green hills of the highlands and the deep, dark waters of inverness -- perhaps it's time for another beautiful trip to scotland . . .

. . . and while it may still be a little early for chunky knits -- it is, after all, a brilliantly sunny september day -- there have, already, been a few cashmere mornings, and a few trench coat evenings, around and about, as the light begins to fade; and today, plans are beginning to fall into place for the moment, for next week, for the future . . .

. . . this past weekend was a last-minute & whirlwind trip to montréal with guests from out of town {a few photographs to follow} , and after a little time away, it's back to work and already the morning light seems to be a little different, and while shall always and forever be madly in love with summer, do quite adore tall leather boots and tweed and cashmere, and it shall be quite wonderful to dash out in a belted trench once again . . .

. . . while at the shops last week, must confess, was a little distressed to already find fall shades of olive and rust, and so, was delighted to happen upon h&m's winter lookbook, filled with deliriously lovely autumn brights in beautiful hues of flax and cerise, white and dusky violet, deep turquoise and gold . . .

. . . sheer dresses with ruffles and delicately beaded hemlines, luxurious kelly green lace & pretty golden heels, chic belted blazers and elegantly crisp pantsuits and a million perfectly wearable pieces that will easily take one from a dash to the office and after work cocktails and back again . . .

. . . a new pair of white strappy summer wedges earlier last week, for traipsing about town and blossom-laden walks with the dog, the third pair of wedges already this spring, and summer has yet to begin, and yet, after happening across these utterly charming prada platforms {above}, perfectly paired with pressed trousers turned in an ultra-chic french cuff in the most enchanting shade of august sunrise, am becoming quite smitten with platforms and their teetering heights and already imagine them with romantically flirty & lacy summer dresses for quiet lunch dates on cobbled terraces surrounded by spring flower boxes of pussy willows and daffodils . . .
